Kunst und HIV - eine lange Geschichte die stets in Bewegung ist. Kurz vor der Covid Pandemie war ich in New York um mich mit meiner Kunst und mit Visual AIDS auseinanderzusetzen - einer Organisation die seit den Achtzigern Kunst von HIV-Positiven Menschen archiviert... Eine kleine Zeitreise...
Going Viral is the name of the first exhibition cycle after my diagnosis. It explores the violent changes that occurred after my diagnosis; reflecting on the initial emotional and personal challenges spanning over the first two years after my infection.
Of all the places Ive seen, nothing is quite as fantastically beautiful and horrifying as the confrontation with the self. There is still a lot to explore in those dark and stormy canyons; and bit by bit I work on exhibitions where I dig out the travel-journals I collect on my ventures into my own mind. The darkness and the light.

After three weeks the exhibition "ArtPositive" at the Gallery Marie de Holmsky in the heart of Paris has, sadly, come to an end. I am unbelievably grateful to have been part of this. The first exhibition in Paris in which openly HIV-Positive people show off their work - not hiding from the exposure of our Virus, but standing by it proudly. To stir a bit of attention to the stigmas and challenges so many people still face.
