September is here! Time for a new exhibition!
Going Viral is the name of the first exhibition cycle after my diagnosis. It explores the violent changes that occurred after my diagnosis; reflecting on the initial emotional and personal challenges spanning over the first two years after my infection.
Of all the places Ive seen, nothing is quite as fantastically beautiful and horrifying as the confrontation with the self. There is still a lot to explore in those dark and stormy canyons; and bit by bit I work on exhibitions where I dig out the travel-journals I collect on my ventures into my own mind. The darkness and the light.
My relationship with photography has gone through many phases - from passionate obsession to angry loathing...and everything in between. And despite it being continuously strained, I have come to terms with the photography I did, and the photography I do. For some insights - and the possibility of obtaining prints - heres a little bit about my fashion photography.
The ever restless... I went out to explore the world - to capture the harsh reality and breathtaking beauty the world has to offer. Ever since my first trips to Asia, I was hooked. To explore, to travel and to observe. It started with stories about people; a leprosy clinic in Karachi and road workers in Ladakh – and it digressed into seeking the magnificent landscapes of the Himalayas and the Highlands...
