Those last days in India.
On the 2nd of January, 2014 I found out I was HIV-Positive.
I was working on a photo-journalism project in Mumbai at the time. Naturally, the diagnosis came as a shock – and yet I wanted to continue my work. Being in India was a good distraction, for I knew going back home to Vienna would confront me with a new life that I wasn’t really looking forward to. A life of blood screenings, doctors visits and the confrontation with reality. My return would make HIV become more real. I had another two weeks before my flight would take me home, so next to working on my projects, I decided to explore Mumbai.
